Compensating, Evaluating & Retaining Your Employee

The prevailing line of thought in HR circles is that compensation is just one factor in employee retention. Studies seem to suggest that employee satisfaction is more closely tied to things such as work-life balance, opportunities for advancement, employee recognition and workplace culture, among other considerations. The cost to firms for employees who leave can be steep - some have pegged the cost to locate and train a replacement to be as high as twice the employee's salary. The panelists will discuss compensation basics including how to create a compensation strategy to pay employees competitively, establishing and successfully implementing a performance evaluation system and proven methods to motivate and retain key associates and staff.
