The Role of Real Estate in Chicago's Segregated Landscape

As real estate attorneys, we work on a multitude of commercial and residential transactions that shape the geographic landscape of our City. As attorneys who are instrumental in shaping such geography, it is incumbent on us to know the impact, including social impact, which our work contributes to outside of our office walls. Thus, the purpose of this seminar is to explore how the history of our profession in our city has helped to shape one of America's most segregated cities, and how we can use the tools we have as real estate lawyers to help create a more fair and equitable city.
