Posted on February 21, 2018

Volunteers and Donations Requested! On Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., join the CBA Human Trafficking Committee to clean up a garden and plant vegetables at the Selah Freedom House in the Winnetka/Glenview area.

The Selah Freedom House provides safe housing for trafficking victims. The amount of volunteers will be limited, so please email Katie Liss at as soon as possible. If you're unable to attend, please consider making a financial donation online directly to Selah Freedom (specify that it is for the "Chicago garden fund") to help purchase topsoil, compost, mulch, flowers, and seeds (i.e. spinach, beets, and kale) by April 21.
